On September 23, 2021 JSC MC SEZ Khorgos ICBC together with the Managing Company of the Pilot Zone for Regional Trade and Economic Cooperation “China- SCO” organized an online seminar for business communities of Kazakhstan and China.

15 kazakh companies and more than 20 chinese companies took part in the seminar, speakers included Mr. Gao Qi, General Representative of the Chinese Council for Promotion of International Trade of the PRC in the PK, and Mr. Xu Yeping, Deputy Chairman of the PRC Chinese Council for Promotion of International Trade in XUAR.

Investment opportunities of SEZ Khorgos ICBC and the Pilot zone of regional trade and economic cooperation “China- SCO” were presented during the online seminar. In addition, the Kazakhstani companies “Meat Processing and Service” LTD and “QZ Silk Road Logistic” LTD presented their investment opportunities.

The Chinese side showed interest in the import of Kazakhstani food products such as: dairy, meat and agricultural products.

During the online seminar a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the JSC MC SEZ Khorgos ICBC and the Pilot Zone of Regional Trade and Economic Cooperation “China – SCO”. Under the memorandum, both sides plan to develop cooperation in the field of joint investment projects, export and import development, as well as regularly hold joint events for Kazakh and Chinese enterprises.
